Comments:
4 x The Drinker was the most common moth recorded.  It hadn’t been recorded before although one was hatched successfully in the classroom.

The Snout x 2

William, shown above with a Poplar Hawk-moth, found two moths called The Snout and brought them into school today.  The Snout most often occurs where its foodplant, the nettle, is found so be careful you don’t get stung!

Heavy rain meant small numbers.  However, great to see the first stunning Elephant Hawk-moth!
