Activity Day May 2010

On the Activity Day in May 2010 we were split into three teams: red, green and blue. Each team was given a sheet of questions and to be able to answer them we had to find picture clues around the Nature Reserve, Science Garden and Wildlife Garden.

The first letter of each of the answers spelt either 'animal', 'reptile' or 'insect'.  Each team then built a beast that represented their class of animal from natural materials such as leaves and sticks.  We all kept the identity of our chosen beast secret from the other teams.

The final part of the activity was a 'Twenty Questions' session where the other teams had to work out what our beasts were by asking questions like 'Can it fly?' and 'Does it eat meat?' or 'Is it extinct?'!
